A line down the middle as a mirror's edge, each side at once the self and the other. A figure is drawn by the looking that lands on it: trimmed where the gaze wants less, taped where the likeness slips. The red marks sit where seeing and being seen share a single organ. The mirror passes from hand to hand, held at times by the self it deforms, and our hands take their turn. What the glass returns is a category wearing an outline; the outline keeps moving, and the category redraws.
